Provides preventive health and education services to help an individual have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Maternity services are offered in addition to medical and prenatal care and include:
  • Social support
  • Counseling
  • Nursing
  • Parent education
  • Nutritional services.
Helps new parents access medical, social, educational, and environmental services to improve the health and wellbeing of their infants. Promotes a supportive network for families through referrals and connections in the community.

First Step Family Support Center, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization and United Way agency, has provided support and education services promoting the healthy development of children and families on the North Olympic Peninsula since 1972. The goal of the agency is to provide innovative and family-centered programs to meet the needs of parents and their children in a respectful and responsible manner.
