Child Find and Early Education Information offered at University Place School District
Child Find: Serves as a location or contact point for families in the University Place School District. Offers screenings throughout the school year to help identify children birth to 5 years old who may need special services in order to experience success in school. Special services can include occupational, physical and/or speech therapies, or a specialized early childhood program. Screenings will not show conclusively that a child has special needs, but it will indicate if he or she may need further assessment. Early Childhood Education Assistance Program - ECEAP Program is administered to University Place families through Pierce County Human Services Offers free preschool to low-income families with four year old children. Provides children with social, health, nutrition, and education services. Contact Human Services at 253-798-4400 option 4.
