Domestic Violence Program offered by Consejo Counseling & Referral Service in Renton

Provides legal support and advocacy-based domestic violence counseling that helps survivors overcome barriers. Offers culturally and linguistically trauma-informed intervention, prevention, and outreach services including DV crisis response. Services include transitional housing, safety planning, meeting basic needs, individual and family therapy, peer group counseling as well as bilingual and bicultural, and step-by-step guidance to help navigate legal systems that ensure protection orders are in place and enforced by the law.

Eligibility

Primarily serves non- or limited English-language proficient Latinx survivors of domestic and sexual violence or assault, stalking, emotional or verbal abuse or threats from current or former spouses, partners, parents, family members or intimate and/or dating partners.

Consejo Counseling & Referral Service

Provides mental health services including counseling, assessment, family and group therapy and case management, as well as culturally relevant mental health services for children and adolescents. Primarily serves the Spanish-speaking Latino population. Provides counseling and therapy for mental health issues including domestic violence, gambling addiction and substance use disorder. Some services focus on serving older adults, individuals with disabilities and sexual assault victims and survivors. Also provides substance use disorder treatment for adults and youth.
