The Family Support Partnership (FSP) is a community driven partnership that promotes safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments for all children. Through a network of Family Resource Centers and evidence-based programs and services they work collectively to promote and strengthen protective factors to prevent and mediate childhood trauma. Vision: All children and families thrive in safe, stable nurturing relationships and environments. Mission: Mobilize a network of Family Resource Centers to strengthen protective factors within families. Family resource centers are community-based, flexible, family-focused, and culturally sensitive facilities that provide programs and services based on the needs of families. Family resource centers promote both the strengthening of families through formal and informal support and the restoration of a strong sense of community. Family Resource Centers are more than just a place but also represent a different philosophy and process than traditional approaches to providing services for families. They are proactive, accessible and parent/community informed. The FSP focuses on children, youth, and families. Our programs encourage family members to build healthy bonds. The Family Resource Centers are welcoming hubs that connect families to a wide array of services that promote protective factors. It is a partner-driven effort to prevent childhood adversity. Family Resource Centers provide services that strengthen and empower families in three-strategy areas: Systems Navigation Support, Family Management, and Community Connections.
