Legal Counsel for Youth and Children (LCYC)'s Youth Homelessness Program provides free legal services for young people between ages 12-24 who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability. LCYC can help with: -  Landlord/tenant issues -  Emancipation - Minor Guardianships -  Navigating child welfare - Immigration -  Quashing warrants -  Legal Financial Obligations (LFOs) -  Orders of protection -  Record sealing -  Public benefits -  Debt (medical/consumer) -  Name changes -  Gender marker changes -  Obtaining identification documents   & more!

Eligibility

Young people are eligible to receive free legal services from LCYC if they are: - between ages 12-24 - experiencing homelessness or housing instability - located or receive services in one of the following Washington counties: King, Walla Walla, Clark, Thurston, or Skagit.

We accomplish our mission through direct legal representation, strong community partnerships, and systemic advocacy. LCYC has four main practice areas: Child Welfare, Juvenile Court, Youth Homelessness, and Immigration.
