Advocacy Services offered by ADWAS

Provides legal advocacy and crisis intervention for Deaf, Deaf Blind or hard-of-hearing victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Refers to other agencies when necessary. Supports include: - Help with saftey planning decisions - Liaison to those involved in situation( lawyers, hospitals, CPS, counselors and housing systems) - Provides information on survivor's rights - Connection to an ADWAS therapist

Victims and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence who are Deaf, DeafBlind or hard-of-hearing. Residents of washington state.

ADWAS (Abused Deaf Women's Advocacy Services)

Supports Deaf and DeafBlind survivors of domestic and sexual violence benefit with programs such as therapy, legal & systemic advocacy, the 24-hour National Deaf Domestic Violence Hotline, Family Support programs, children’s advocacy, and emergency shelter & supportive housing.
