Early Intervention offered by Children's Therapy Center in Burien

Home-based therapy program provides early intervention services (Speech, Occupational, Physical, Oral motor therapies, early education, and Family Resource Coordination) for families and children ages birth to three, with a developmental delay or a diagnosed disability including: -  Down syndrome -  Cerebral palsy -  Autism spectrum disorders   Services are provided in a child's natural environment, a place the child normally is during the day including home, daycare, a relative's home, or a community setting.    Information is shared with the family about child development and strategies are provided to help families feel supported as their child's primary teacher.

M-F, 8am-5pm.

Application process

Children are referred by a pediatrician, neurologist, family physician, public health nurse, or parent.

Eligibility

Children, ages birth to 3, who have a 25 percent delay or show a 1. 5 standard deviation below his or her age in one or more of the developmental areas. A child may also be eligible if he or she has a diagnosed physical or mental disabilities including cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders, spina bifida, Down Syndrome, autism, vision and hearing.

Fee

Accepts WA Apple Health (Medicaid) and private insurance.
