Parent-Child Assistance Program offered at Pathways to Parenting

Eligibility

Medicaid-eligible women who:
  • Are currently pregnant or postpartum up to 24 months, prioritizing women who are pregnant and up to 12 months postpartum
  • Self-report at risk substance use (drugs and/or alcohol) during the current or recent pregnancy.
  • Have not successfully accessed community resources for substance use treatment and long-term recovery.
Women who have given birth to a child diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) or Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), who are still drinking and able to become pregnant, may be enrolled regardless of pregnancy status.

Provides three years of intensive case management to pregnant and parenting women with substance use disorders and their young children. Services include:
  • Referral, support, and advocacy for substance use disorder treatment and continuing care.
  • Assistance in accessing and using local resources such as family planning, safe housing, healthcare, domestic violence services, parent skills training, child welfare, childcare, transportation, and legal services.
  • Connections to health care and therapeutic interventions for children.
