Outpatient Care for Infants & Early Childhood offered at Navos Lake Burien Health Center
Works with parents and caregivers, seeking ways to build or repair relationships with their young children. We know that many difficult life circumstances and trauma can impact the ways young children and their caregivers relate with one another. With support, healing can happen within parent-child relationships, and young children are able to get back on a healthy developmental path and thrive. IECMH therapists strive to facilitate reflective and healing interactions, where children and their important adults learn to relate to others, regulate their emotions, communicate their needs, and navigate day-to-day challenges together. We partner with families to create a support plan specific to their circumstances, values, and culture. Services for families with infants and young children include: - Child-Parent Psychotherapy (including early relationship assessment and support, trauma treatment, advocacy for the child in family/dependency courts and other serving systems, such as schools) - Attachment Vitamins© Parent Education and Support Group - Resource referral for basic needs - Professional Early Childhood Consultation to early childhood care providers
