Providing organization
Peninsula Dispute Resolution Center (PDRC)
PDRC offers 5 core services: mediation, training services, conflict coaching, youth services and group facilitation. Mediation is a process designed to help resolve conflicts between people in dispute. It is facilitated by certified mediators who guide individuals through a structured negotiation process. They promote effective communication to assist parties in reaching mutually agreeable solutions in a safe environment. Mediation is most effective when individuals are willing to express their concerns openly, honestly, and consider the concerns of the other parties in the dispute. Mediation encourages collaboration through which creative solutions can be explored and lasting solutions found. This process is appropriate both in legal situations where a lawsuit has been filed and in circumstances where a non-legal approach is preferred. Mediation is non-adversarial, respectful, and flexible. We offer mediation services, mediator training and certification, and public education to residents of Clallam and Jefferson Counties. Fees are based on a sliding scale. No one is turned away for their inability to pay.
