ECEAP/Head Start offered at The Lighthouse Early Learning & Development Center

State-funded preschool program provides comprehensive early childhood programs for low-income preschool children and their families.   Program offers: -  Health, vision and hearing checks -  Developmental screenings -  Family support services -  Preschool classroom experiences -  Hot meals and snacks   Offers employment and training opportunities and services available for parents whose children are enrolled. These opportunities include Peer to Peer leadership programs, child care and interpreter training (available to all parents), as well as the Community Jobs program available to parents currently on WorkFirst and receiving assistance.

The Lighthouse Early Learning and Development Center

Operates an Early Head Start program for children with special developmental, behavioral or social-emotional needs as well as for typically developing children. Sensitive to needs of foster children and those with CPS funding. Works to provide children with a nurturing environment and positive early childhood educational experience. Through a trauma informed lens, strengthens healthy family relationships and reduces the risk of child abuse and neglect.
