PREPARES Baby Supply Bags: provides basic baby supplies, based on the age of the child and can include diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, books, and toys. Family Companions: provide an opportunity for a pregnant or parenting family to be matched with a trained family companion volunteer who gives the family ongoing support and encouragement. Find comfort and guidance with the support of a family companion who has walked the path of parenthood and empathize with its joys and struggles. Play and Learn Groups: facilitates play groups to support early brain development and kindergarten readiness: play group curriculum is based on the latest research in early childhood brain development and family engagement. Play groups give parents and informal caregivers a free, accessible place to meet other families and get support. Sessions are held weekly in community spaces in the child’s own neighborhood and language. Parents as Teachers (PAT): develops curricula, trains early childhood professionals, and certifies parent educators to work with parents to provide them with parenting support and information on their developing child. Vision: All children will learn, grow and develop to realize their full potential.

Once enrolled, a client works with an advocate to choose a curriculum that fits their needs and interests.  Clients earn "Baby Bucks" while they learn how to be better parents.   There are programs available in financial planning, relationship building and communications tools. Available resources includes: layettes, diapers, wipes, clothing - sizes infant to 2T,  car seats, cribs and baby furniture.

A faith-based organization that provides information and referrals to those who are experiencing unplanned pregnancies. Services include pregnancy testing, parenting classes, and community referrals. Does not refer to abortion services. You do not need to participate in services to be eligible to receive maternity and infant clothes, diapers, formula/baby food, and other infant care needs.

Provides a wide range of services for youth 12-24 years of age. Services focus on housing support, mental health support, education, healthcare, parenting support, criminal/legal support, and advocacy services. Advocates can help access services based on unique situation & need, such as transportation, phone cards, obtaining a State ID, food banks, DSHS benefit applications, and job search. Housing support may include housing search, referral to a shelter, temporary housing, or rapid/immediate housing, depending on the client's circumstances. Refers to Okanogan Behavioral Healthcare or online counseling for mental health support. Connects clients to criminal/legal support, such as defense attorney's or the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project or Northwest Justice Project. Parenting support includes baby items, free books, referrals to children services, and more. Bilingual tutoring is available on site.

The Port Angeles Resource Center, fondly known as the Orville Campbell House, at First Step offers a safe place to find resources for your family. We have a free clothing and equipment closet, information and referrals, indoor and outdoor children’s play area, free diapers and formula, access to phones, computers, fax and copier, healthy snacks, free children’s books, and a Little Free Food Pantry and Fridge!

Parents as Teachers Partners with parents to support their child’s growth and development. Twice-monthly visits focus on learning through play, understanding the stages of child development, helping through the inevitable challenges of parenting, and supporting overall family well-being. Kaleidoscope Play & Learn Also offers weekly, bi-lingual playgroups. Parent Cafe's Playgroups include open play time, art projects, structured movement or song time, stories, parent support/coaching, and time to connect with other adults. Welcome Baby Boxes Gives parents essential supplies for their new babies. The baby box includes a sleep sack, washcloths, a Vashon onesie, and a hand-made quilt, along with parenting books and a Thriftway gift card. Clothing, diapers and some baby supplies are also available.

Offers a limited medical pregnancy clinic offering no cost services including:  - free pregnancy testing and verification,    - first trimester/early prenatal ultrasounds,    - limited STI testing and treatment for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea,    - pregnancy option education,     - parenting support education classes for men and women, - life skills classes, - post-abortion recovery, - CPR certification, - and a diapers and wipes bank program. Options does not provide or refer for abortion or contraception. Releases and permissions are obtained appropriately.
