Assists domestic violence and sexual assault victims and victims of crimes with a wide range of services to help them overcome their current situation. All services are provided without regard to race, sex, color, national origin, gender identity and orientation, creed, age, marital status, mental or physical disability, or any other basis prohibited by law.The services are the following: -  Assistance with protective orders-  A 24-hour crisis line -  Information and referral -  Support groups for women and youth -  Emergency services -  Court support -  Temporary shelter for physically and/or emotionally abused victims and their children-  Help with crime victims compensation -  Legal advocacy, including assistance in obtaining protection orders, divorce or custody -  Assistance with other social service organizations, law enforcement officers, and the court system -  Education about domestic violence dynamics

Domestic Violence Services offered at YWCA of Lewiston Clarkston

Provides services to all victims of crime, including: domestic violence and sexual assault, assistance with protective orders, a 24-hour crisis line, information and referral, and emergency services.

Programs that provide information and guidance and/or representation in court proceedings for individuals who have been abused in an intimate relationship and/or for people who are facing a summary conviction offence or criminal charge for perpetrating abuse. Included are domestic violence law clinics and other legal assistance programs that represent victims of domestic abuse at restraining order hearings or in other civil or criminal actions involving charges against an abuser. Most also represent the person's interests in complexities that arise as part of the legal process such as restitution, payment of debts or child support, custody and visitation and property control. Some programs may also represent victims of domestic abuse who have been charged with a crime and/or handle cases involving accusations of child abuse filed by one parent against the other, abuse of an elderly person by an adult child or abuse of an adult child by a parent.

Domestic/Family Violence Legal Services

Programs that help adults obtain an order from the police or the courts that protects them from abuse or threats of abuse from a current or former spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend, someone they have a child with, someone they live with or someone they are related to through blood or marriage. Included are emergency protective orders that police can obtain from the court to provide immediate protection to an abused family member for five to seven days until an application for a temporary restraining order can be made in court; longer-term temporary restraining orders issued in civil court that forbid contact with the protected person until the propriety of granting a permanent injunction can be evaluated; permanent or after-hearing restraining orders that make a short-term injunction granted in the temporary restraining order permanent (or specify the amount of time they will remain in effect); and criminal temporary protective orders which apply in situations where an abusive individual has been arrested and faces trial.

Domestic Violence Protective/Restraining Orders

Programs that help stalking or cyberstalking victims or people who are experiencing other forms of harassment obtain a restraining order in situations where the harasser is someone other than a close family member or part of the victim's household, e.g., a neighbor, roommate, friend the individual has never dated, coworker or more distant family member such as a cousin, uncle or aunt. A victim can qualify for a harassment order if the harasser has intentionally committed a series of acts that are frightening, annoying or harassing, and have caused the victim substantial emotional distress. Stalking orders and harassment orders (sometimes called "civil harassment orders") may be separate orders with different criteria or combined in a single order depending on the jurisdiction; and some may also include protection for individuals who have been sexually assaulted. Stalking/Harassment Orders

Mutual support groups whose members are individuals who have been involved in physical or emotional abuse by a spouse or other partner. The groups meet in-person, by telephone or via the Internet; provide emotional support, information and resources for those who participate; and may be structured for victims of domestic violence, those responsible for battering them, or for adults or adolescents who as children were traumatized by witnessing violence in their homes.

Domestic Violence Support Groups

Programs that help people who have been sexually assaulted obtain a protective order from the court which requires that the alleged perpetrator stay away from the victim or the place where the victim lives or works, and to have no further contact with the victim.

Sexual Assault Protective/Restraining Orders

Programs that maintain information about community resources that are appropriate for a specific target group or human services sector (for example, youth programs or addiction services) and which link individuals who are in need of specialized services with appropriate resources and/or which provide information about community agencies and organizations that offer specialized services.

Specialized Information and Referral

Programs that help crime victims and/or witnesses obtain a protective order from the court which restrains an individual being tried for a criminal offense from harassing, molesting, intimidating or retaliating against witnesses or victims of a wide variety of criminal acts.

Crime Victim/Witness Related No Contact Orders

Provides legal advocacy for issues related to domestic violence, sexual assault and family law.

Legal Advocacy for Victims of Crime offered at DOVE Project

Provides legal consultation and advocacy for survivors of domestic violence, including assistance filing for protection orders.

Provides a confidential 24-hour crisis hotline for victims of sexual assault and crimes. Victim Advocates are available 24 hours a day to provide support, information, and referrals. Serves those who have been harmed as a result of crimes such as assault, robbery, child abuse, identity theft, arson, kidnapping, hate crimes, and human trafficking. Provides advocacy, individual counseling, support through the legal and criminal justice systems, information about abuse and assault, and referrals to other helpful programs. The Kittitas location also offers shelter and other services for victims of domestic violence.

Aspen Victim Advocacy Services offered by Comprehensive Healthcare in Kittitas County

Provides a confidential 24-hour crisis hotline for victims of sexual assault and crimes. Offers shelter for domestic violence victims in Kittitas County.

Programs that provide immediate assistance for women and men who have experienced domestic abuse which may include steps to ensure the person's safety; short-term emotional support; assistance with shelter; legal information and advocacy; referrals for medical treatment; ongoing counseling and/or group support; and other related services. Hotline staff are generally available via telephone, email, chat and/or text.

Domestic Violence Hotlines

Programs that provide emotional support, information and guidance in a variety of settings for individuals and families who are attempting to deal with their fears, their feelings of being violated and other negative aftereffects of being burglarized, robbed, assaulted or otherwise victimized. Also included are programs that provide counseling for people who have been traumatized by witnessing an act of violence.

Crime Victim/Witness Counseling

Programs that provide temporary emergency shelter for individuals, primarily women, who have experienced domestic violence/abuse, and for their children. Such facilities usually provide in-house individual, group and family counseling and the full range of secondary services related to domestic violence including referral to appropriate resources. Also included are similar facilities for battered men and those that can accommodate both men and women, where they are available.

Domestic Violence Shelters

Programs that intercede on behalf of individuals to help them establish eligibility for or obtain needed services when they have been denied benefits or services for which they are eligible, when they need assistance to communicate their needs to a service provider or to otherwise effectively represent themselves, or when they have a complaint about a service. Individual advocacy attempts to reach equitable settlements without resorting to litigation and seeks to meet individual needs without attempting to change social institutions.

Individual Advocacy

Programs that provide crisis, short-term and/or ongoing counseling for people who are coping with the emotional trauma of being forced to engage in sexual intercourse or other sexual acts without their consent. Included are military sexual trauma (MST) counseling programs offered by facilities operated by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, which address the needs of veterans who have been traumatized by having experienced assault or repeated threatening sexual harassment which occurred while serving on active duty in the military. Counseling and support may be offered in a variety of settings and may include individual, conjoint, family and group therapy sessions for the survivor and/or significant others.

Sexual Assault Counseling

Programs that provide immediate assistance for people who are survivors of rape, incest and other forms of sexual assault which may include steps to ensure the person's safety, short-term emotional support, information regarding the person's rights and alternatives, and referrals and/or accompaniment to resources for medical, legal and emotional needs, advocacy and other related services. Hotline staff are generally available via telephone, email, chat and/or text.

Sexual Assault Hotlines

Programs that provide a variety of supportive services for victims of crimes and their families which may include general emotional support, crisis counseling, information about police investigative procedures, liaison to police personnel, assistance in completing and filing applications for reimbursement of crime-related expenses or losses, information about the mechanics of court proceedings, advice concerning court appearances, court accompaniment services, assistance in preparing victim impact statements and referrals for other needed services such as medical treatment, shelter away from home, transportation, child care, financial assistance and protective services.
