The Teens As Parents Program (TAPP) is a support group for people 24 years old and younger that are parents and/or expecting a child. With both in-person and virtual meetings and case management to share resources, this group provides a supportive community for those looking to grow as individuals and parents. With in-person meetings, Atlantic Street Center offers meals and some childcare.

Supervised home for pregnant and parenting teens. Assists homeless teen mothers and their children by providing a supportive environment and teaching life skills to become self-sufficient while completing their high school education or equivalent.

Friends of Youth's Healthy Start program service provides home visiting for pregnant and/or parenting families with children younger than six. Home visitors provide a safe space and meet families while they are at while providing basic supplies, parenting support and information, group activities, development and health screenings, and referral to community resources. Program serves families across east King County.

Provides clients with incentives to learn life skills as they earn "Baby Bucks" to spend in the "Baby Boutique" on items they need. Once enrolled, a client works with an advocate to choose a curriculum that fits their needs and interests.  Clients earn "Baby Bucks" while they learn how to be better parents.   There are programs available in financial planning, relationship building and communications tools. Available resources includes: layettes, diapers, wipes, clothing - sizes infant to 2T,  car seats, cribs and baby furniture.

Provides comprehensive and up-to-date birth and family education at the most affordable price for pregnant women and their families. Program offers a full spectrum of classes covering pregnancy through parenting teens and is taught by certified childbirth educators. Learn what to expect during pregnancy and labor, parenting skills for newborn, young child, or teen, and you'll meet other people experiencing some of the same joys and challenges that go along with being a mom or dad. Support groups are also available.

The Port Angeles Resource Center, fondly known as the Orville Campbell House, at First Step offers a safe place to find resources for your family. We have a free clothing and equipment closet, information and referrals, indoor and outdoor children’s play area, free diapers and formula, access to phones, computers, fax and copier, healthy snacks, free children’s books, and a Little Free Food Pantry and Fridge!

Serves parents who are between the ages of 13 and 24. Provides screening, group activities and one-on-one support. Offered to low income families with children up to the age of 5, and no burden of proof is required to qualify for the program. Services include two in-home visits from a certified parent educator as well as a large monthly gathering at a neutral site where families can interact and learn from each other.

Parent Child Health supports families in Kitsap with multiple programs. Our staff is available to provide referrals and guidance to all pregnant and parenting families in the county in multiple languages. A free, personal nurse for first time, low income mothers. New mothers receive support, education and valuable resources to be the best parent they can be.

Provides prenatal, newborn, and toddler parenting education classes and the opportunity to earn new baby equipment.

If you need a pregnancy test, you can see our Nurse and have a urine test done and if medically necessary, an ultrasound to verify your pregnancy. You may also have your urine tested at the same time for sexually transmitted diseases.

Provides a wide range of free services, including pregnancy tests and consultations with medical staff available during open hours.   Provides the following services: -  Pregnancy tests -  STD testing and treatment for chlamydia and gonorrhea (men and women) -  Limited ultrasounds -  Pre-natal vitamins -  Pregnancy options education -  Parenting classes -  Baby supplies are provided when points are earned by attending classes -  One-on-one caring and emotional support -  Medical, social service, and community referrals -  Abortion recovery support - Diapers

Offers families on-going support and encouragement in the most difficult times and addresses essential needs to develops supportive, nurturing relationships to walk the journey with young families in need. Provides the following services: Young Mom's Support Groups; Family Companion, which is an opportunity for a pregnant or parenting family to be matched with a trained family companion volunteer who gives the family ongoing support and encouragement; facilitated play groups available to children from birth to age 5, and their caregivers.

Classes cover topics such as baby care and safety, senior health, childbirth preparation, first aid, CPR, disease management, diabetes education, emergency and safety education, and neurological and movement disorders.

Offers programs that teach skills that enable parents to deal constructively and consistently with a broad spectrum of child rearing problems which may include sibling rivalry; school behavior and performance; poor self-esteem; shyness; drug use; sexual promiscuity; and the whole range of negative, acting-out behaviors including whining, temper tantrums, disobedience, insolence and destructiveness. Some parenting skills development programs utilize a step-by-step approach for managing specific problems and may incorporate application at home of techniques that were discussed and practiced in the classroom setting. Other programs may offer participatory family workshops which provide opportunities for parents and children to learn and practice methods for dealing with one another under the guidance of a trained facilitator. Most training programs teach the parent a particular way of talking and relating to their children that reinforces positive behaviors and communication and decreases negative behaviors while supporting the development of a relationship that is built on fairness, mutual caring and respect.

Offers educational classes for pregnant people and parents.

Parenting Journey is a 12-week course for parents with children of all ages and stages. Hands-on activities and guided discussions help you develop knowledge and skills that support you as a parent and as a role model.

Offers pregnancy tests, options, and information classes. Also have Fetal Development classes and First Time Parenting classes. Can provide baby and maternity clothes, baby furniture, and baby items. Also provides housing in a Maternity Home.

Provides a partnership with registered nurses. Nurses do in-home visits with health and developmental screenings to identify potential problems with growth, hearing, social-emotional development, oral health, and other issues. Additionally, they may offer support with breastfeeding, parenting skills, and other general parent education. Visits will continue until the child reaches 2 years of age.

Offers parenting education, including Kaleidoscope Play and Learn parent/child activity groups. Other classes include: - Toddler Gym - CPR for infants/adults - Life Skills - Cooking and Nutrition - K-12 Tutoring. Offers support groups and workshops for Latino families.  Facilitates support groups to increase family's social support and decrease family isolation.   Also offers family advocacy, application assistance along with information and referral to a variety of other services.
