Facilitated play groups provide access to high-quality early learning opportunities to thousands of children who are not currently benefiting from formal early learning programs. The majority of Washington children under five are in the regular informal care of parents family members, friends, or neighbors (FFNs), and do not attend formal child care programs, especially children in communities of color, low-income families and refugee/immigrant communities. Increasing access to high-quality play groups will strengthen our ability to support all families in this critical phase of child development, and get Washington closer to its goal to have 90% of children ready for kindergarten when they enter. Facilitated play groups support early brain development and kindergarten readiness: play group curriculum is based on the latest research in early childhood brain development and family engagement; play groups give parents and informal caregivers a free, accessible place to meet other families and get support; and sessions are held weekly in community spaces in the child’s own neighborhood and language.

Coordinates Head Start and the Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) preschools, which provide education and socialization skill development activities.   Family support services are part of the program.   Provides services at six sites in Kent and Covington in Kent School District.

Offers a high quality, developmentally appropriate early education at four dynamic, inclusive schools with full day and extended day options. Multilingual teachers reinforce the languages kids speak at home as well as help them master English. Curriculum includes literacy, math, and social-emotional skills. Arranges dental and physical screenings for all students and families participate in monthly nutrition activities. Each child has an individualized plan developed jointly with the parent that identifies outcomes in social-emotional development, literacy, language development, mathematics, physical health, science, creative arts, and approaches to learning.

Administers state-funded preschool programs which provide early childhood education experiences such as: - Learning activities - Social development and problem solving - Nutritious meals and snacks - Health and developmental screenings and follow-up - Family support services - Family involvement and leadership opportunities. Each site's services reflect the ethnicity and culture of the community. Children with disabilities receive all services above, plus coordination of services and individualized education programs.

State-funded preschool program provides comprehensive early childhood programs for low income preschool children and their families.   Offers health, vision, hearing, and developmental screenings, family support services, preschool classroom experiences, snacks, and hot meals.   Program is administered by the Puget Sound Educational Service District.   Offers employment and training opportunities and services available for parents whose children are enrolled in ECEAP: -  Peer to Peer leadership programs -  Child Care   -  Community Jobs program available to parents currently on WorkFirst and receiving assistance.

Offers early support services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities. These services include physical, speech, and occupational therapies; early childhood education, infant mental health services, and more.

Provides high-quality full-day preschool to children at various sites throughout the city. Provides quality early learning environments with highly trained teachers, following a research-based curriculum. Daily activities will be play-based, developmentally appropriate, and work to prepare children to be successful in school.

Provides free public education for children in grades Pre-K through 12th.

The PNA operates a preschool for children ages 3-5, where they participate in activities designed to give support and growth to the development of social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills and prepare for kindergarten. After-school programs offer a variety of recreational and educational opportunities such as arts and crafts, music, drama, cultural activities, and optional time for homework or tutoring.

Provides early preschool education for children 3-5 years old in 7 communities throughout Whitman County. Provides learning environments that foster intellectual, social, physical, and emotional growth. Assists families with support, community resource referrals, and health screenings for each child within the first 90 days of program enrollment. Evaluates child's medical, dental, and mental health, and nutritional needs.

Offers culturally and linguistically appropriate education to preschool age children to prepare them for the transition into kindergarten.   Serves as a site of ECEAP, Step Ahead and Seattle Preschool Program. Free hot meals provided.

Offers assistance with essential needs and develops supportive, nurturing relationships to walk the journey with young families in need. PREPARES Baby Supply Bags: provides basic baby supplies, based on the age of the child and can include diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, books, and toys. Family Companions: provide an opportunity for a pregnant or parenting family to be matched with a trained family companion volunteer who gives the family ongoing support and encouragement. Find comfort and guidance with the support of a family companion who has walked the path of parenthood and empathize with its joys and struggles. Play and Learn Groups: facilitates play groups to support early brain development and kindergarten readiness: play group curriculum is based on the latest research in early childhood brain development and family engagement. Play groups give parents and informal caregivers a free, accessible place to meet other families and get support. Parents as Teachers (PAT): develops curricula, trains early childhood professionals, and certifies parent educators to work with parents to provide them with parenting support and information on their developing child. Vision: All children will learn, grow and develop to realize their full potential.

Provides a regional early learning center for children birth-to-five and their parents as a coordinated and comprehensive community learning hub. Provides various program, from parenting education and support to infant care and early learning. The center's services will address and help overcome the staggering access gap for many Walla Walla youth and families, promoting an inclusive community resource that encourages integration, engagement and opportunity for all.

Provides free public education for students in grades K through 6th.

Offers center-based and home-visiting options to support early childhood education including Early Head Start and Parents as Teachers. Programs serve children ages prenatal-5 years old.

The Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) is Washington's comprehensive pre-kindergarten program serving at-risk three and four year old children and their families. ECEAP provides children with preschool education, health services, intensive family support, and parent engagement and training.

Provides child care and preschool for young children.   Offers family support, advocacy, and parent education. Provides access to a public health nurse and a nutritionist, as well as 70% of children's daily nutritional needs.

Offers play-based preschool programs through the Seattle Preschool Program during the school year, as well as preschool and kindergarten readiness programs during the summer.   Staff members take a flexible approach to nurturing the intellectual, physical and social aspects of each child.

Provides basic education at one preschool, nine elementary schools, one K-8 school, two middle schools, and two high schools.

Assists families, childcare providers, and community partners in providing quality early learning and school readiness programs, and professional development opportunities. Offers referrals to Early Head Start, ECEAP, childcare, and parent-child groups.
