Operates several advice clinics at a variety of locations and times (including evenings), makes referrals to volunteer attorneys and provides public information for low-income clients. Attorneys on staff can provide limited emergency services depending on the client's legal issue. Areas of assistance can include: - Family Law & Domestic Violence - Landlord/Tenant - Foreclosure - Consumer and Business - Bankruptcy - Vacation of Criminal Records - Reinstatement of Driver License - Veteran Assistance - Wills, Probate, Guardianship, and Power of Attorney. Also serves as a referral partner with the Federal Civil Rights Clinic. Will direct clients to the clinic for intake, appointments, and follow up.

This 12-week parenting program is intended to improve the lives of children by promoting healthy father-child relationships and increasing positive male involvement.   Based on the award winning curriculum "Nurturing Father" this program examines the roots of father, child development, balancing work and father, and conflict resolution.

This 4-hour class offers an overview of researchers’ current understanding of the best approach for supporting children when they live separately from one or both parents.   Participants receive a certificate at the completion of the class.

Offers children and family counseling, treatment for child victims of sexual abuse, as well as coordination of family support services, including parent education, parenting classes, and family advocate services to promote the self-sufficiency and well-being of families.

Addresses the needs of children, parents, and families by offering support groups, education, as well as special programs for foster youth and teens. - Parent Support Classes: offering support groups and classes for parents and families to help educate and support as they're raising their children. Includes: 7 to 10-week Parenting Skills Classes for parents/caregivers of children, 0-18 years of age; and 4-hour Co-Parenting Seminars required by the courts to support parents who are going through divorce or separation and have minor children. - Kinship Navigator: provides services to enhance the ability of relatives to provide safe, stable, and a nurturing environment for the children in their care. Services include legal referral regarding custody, financial assistance to reach basic needs, parent education & training, support group, assistance in applying for federal and state subsidies, help with child care, help in navigating through the education system, and information on medical dental, and mental health services. - Foster Teen Programs: assists youth in acquiring the skills they need in order to live and function effectively on their own. These include interpersonal skills, money management, housing, work and vocational skills.

Chinese Information and Service Center, Asian Bar Association of Washington, and Asian Counseling and Referral Service partner with the King County Bar Association to provide a free legal clinic. Pro bono attorneys work with staff and volunteer interpreters to give consultation and legal advice around family law, immigration law, landlord-tenant disputes, employment law, and other areas. This four hour seminar will focus on children’s needs during their parent’s separation, custody issues and/or divorce. Parents will learn about the developmental stages of children, communication skills, the impact of divorce on children and positive parenting skills. This seminar is approved by the Kitsap County Superior Court and intended for parents involved in divorce, legal separation, or paternity actions. Upon completion, you will be given a Certificate of Completion to be filed with the Court.

Operates legal clinics providing free 30 minute consultations with an attorney. Focus is on Korean and Korean-speaking clients. Clinic attorneys can: -  Determine whether the client has a legal problem -  Suggest possible options -  Help answer papers, summons and requests -  Provide appropriate referrals   Neighborhood legal clinic attorneys may not have expertise in all areas of the law, but they will make every attempt to answer questions accurately. Attorneys CANNOT give advice on criminal legal issues or provide representation on any legal matters.

Offers screening that determines whether a parent is engaged with their child in a positive manner.  Helps to predict the quality of future/long-term parent/child interaction.

Provides free, monthly, 30 minute legal clinics for family law and Immigration legal needs with a focus on serving the LGBTQ Latinx community. Volunteer attorneys work with clients to identify legal needs, potential legal actions and connect clients to further community legal services.   Assists with Office of Immigrant & Refugee Affairs (OIRA) legal clinics, with a particular focus on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program recipients and their family members.   Helps clients prepare for citizenship by confirming eligibility and providing free naturalization classes and workshops.    Lawyers and legal volunteers assist clients complete their N-400 naturalization petition and reviews them for accuracy.

Serves as the official record keeper for the Superior Court. Serves the courts and the citizens of Mason County in a manner best suited to provide quality, efficient, and effective service.  The position of County Clerk is best characterized as the administrative and financial officer of the Superior Court. The County Clerk’s purpose is to ensure the separation of powers among the three branches of government by preserving the integrity of the judiciary. Those three branches are Executive, Judicial and Legislative.

Provides comprehensive mediation services including small claims court referrals, parenting plans, rental housing mediation, and community mediation. Training offered for certification.

Provides general legal aid. Assistance types may include criminal record expungement, eviction prevention, family law, tribal law, protection orders, guardianship, wills, and tenancy issues. Issues must have occurred within the stated service area. A client agreement must be completed prior to receiving legal assistance.

Provides online parenting classes for ages 0-16, with a certificate of completion. Hardcopy and ebook materials are available and some classes may be eligible as court ordered parenting class requirements.

Provides a website with legal information and a guide to legal help. Addresses civil legal problems only including family law, debt and consumer issues, aging/elder law, government benefits, housing, domestic violence, health, employment, immigration, and more.

Helps families navigate their way through family law court by helping them complete the necessary forms, prepare documents and learn how to represent themselves in court. Provides all the necessary forms as well as free photocopying and technology services. Offers weekend and evening legal workshops and clinics. Interactive, in-person format. At the conclusion of a workshop, the presenter(s) will be available to meet privately with those users who request a private coaching session.

Individual, marriage and family counseling (sufficient for court orders).  Parenting classes (sufficient for court orders), therapy groups. Chemical dependency counseling (not sufficient for court orders).  Offers a course entitled "Developing Capable Young People" based on three perceptions and four skills that determine how effectively a person will handle the events of their life.

Provides a 4-hour class designed to assist parents in supporting children who have witnessed, or have been affected by domestic violence. Upon completion of the seminar, participants receive a certificate of completion. Classes are offered twice per month on a Saturday from 9am-1pm, and are presented separately for men and women.
