Provides free counseling by master's mental health counseling graduate students, who are supervised by faculty supervisors. Students are counselors in training who have completed their course work and are supervised by a University staff member. Graduate students in the UW clinical psychology doctoral training program working under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals provide psychotherapy and other psychological services to UW students and residents of the Seattle metropolitan area. Graduate student therapists work with children, teens and adults who are experiencing psychological distress. Clients must be a good match for a therapist-in-training.
