Provides a 3-year, intensive, home visitation program for mothers who experienced substance use disorder during pregnancy. PCAP helps mothers access services, achieve and maintain recovery, and create a healthy family environment.

A motivational program for women who are pregnant and/or parenting a child under 1 year of age. This is a comprehensive case management program advocating and helping women obtain such services as family planning, mental health counseling, parenting education, prenatal care, continued education, job skills, chemical dependency treatment, housing, medical, dental and psychiatric.

Case management, advocacy services and some transportation services are provided by well-trained and supervised Case Managers. Case Managers assist clients to develop goals to improve quality of life for themselves and their children. PCAP offers ongoing support, transportation and referrals to community resources to including, but not limited to: SUD treatment, family planning, medical care, support working with Child Protective Service (CPS), housing, DSHS benefits and education. Operates a long-term residential rehabilitation program for women struggling with substance use disorder, including treatment for women who are pregnant or parenting, located at the women's shelter in South Seattle.   Women live at the shelter for about three months in "candidacy phase" before they decide to go in to the Oaks program.   Women who are struggling with trauma can receive targeted assistance through counseling, case management and classroom instruction.    Once in the Oaks program, additional classes are offered in such life skills as:   -  Safe Relationships -  Parenting -  Job/School Readiness -  Bible Studies    DUI Evaluations Provides a court-ordered assessment of individuals who have been convicted of driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol to evaluate the severity of their problem and make a recommendation to the court regarding appropriate treatment.   Length of service can be anywhere between six months to two years depending on the needs of the individual and/or court order.   Post-graduation internships available. Internships may lead to full-time employment with The Mission or other employers.

Drug and alcohol inpatient treatment for women who are pregnant, postpartum or parenting. Service provisions and length of stay are variable and determined by the needs of the women. Maximum length of stay is six months. Child care is offered on site.

Offers childcare for clients who come to our office for assessment or treatment. Children must be 6 years or younger. Additionally offers parenting classes, focused on helping women in recovery. Staff will work with client to coordinate benefits, research housing options, get back into school, as well as assist with any other goals, needs or ambitions.

Harvest Program serves pregnant and parenting women who are seeking abstinence from drugs or alcohol. Meets the criteria for all court-ordered mandates and assessments are completed for court or CPS on an as-needed basis. Provides Intensive Outpatient Treatment, Individual and group counseling, parenting classes and childcare is available during treatment.

Provides case management services in 19 counties to mothers by highly trained and supervised case managers. Services are provided in the home when possible, out in the community, and at site offices. Case managers assist clients in developing goals to improve quality of life for themselves and their children. They provide ongoing support and guidance while referring clients to needed services, including: - Substance Use Disorder treatment - Family planning - Medical care - Child Protective Service (CPS) Follow-Up - Housing - Benefits - Education. Case managers involve the participant's family, when possible, in order to help locate disengaged participants and support them in service participation. Once enrolled in the program, women receive services for a period of three years and will not be dropped. Limited child care and transportation to relevant appointments may be available.

Provides 3-5 days of medical stabilization/withdrawal management, followed by intensive inpatient treatment for up to 26 total days of admission. This treatment program includes: - 1:1 time with counselor, group educational and recovery activities — using trauma-informed approaches - Engage with 12-step recovery concepts - Care coordination and customized care plan development - Educational and recovery resource connections - Medications for addiction treatment - Pregnancy-specific addiction consultation - Recreational activities – (walks, crafts, gentle exercise, mindful activities like coloring) - Prenatal care and connection to community OB providers While working with the inpatient and group-based treatment, patients also get case management, referrals and coordination with community resources are also provided. Group treatment focuses on a variety of topics, including, physical and psychological trauma, HIV and other risk education, substance education, early parenting, and stress management in recovery, early recovery, mindfulness, relapse prevention. Medication-Assisted Treatment uses evidence-based medications for withdrawal management and treatment of substance use disorders. Medications are adjusted and stabilized during admission, and clients are provided links to outpatient providers to continue medication treatment after discharge. This unit provides both methadone and buprenorphine treatment for opioid use disorder. Patients can also access 24-hour nursing care, routine medical and obstetric care, and immediate access to obstetric emergency services on campus. Services provided include: - Obstetric lab testing and imaging - Daily medical care during stabilization, then regular weekly medical care - Antenatal testing as indicated - Screening for and management of common mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression - Medication management - Nursing, medical, and obstetric education - Parenting and Childbirth Education. Includes education around prenatal care, childbirth, postpartum care, newborn/early infancy parenting, engaging with the healthcare system, self-advocacy, coping skills, and pain/symptom management options. During the stay, the counseling team works diligently to secure sober housing whenever possible and further treatment for all patients after their inpatient stay. If patients are returning to friends or family, a family session with a recovery plan for post discharge is initiated to ensure clear communication and expectations. Many patients choose to continue on to long-term treatment, and the team initiates the process while they are in treatment on the unit. Refers to community resources, such as the Parent Child Assistance Project, public health, OBGYNs, intensive outpatient, inpatient, mental health agencies, DSHS, as needed and where possible.

Assists pregnant and parenting mothers struggling with drug and alcohol abuse in obtaining and maintaining substance use treatment, staying in recovery, and other difficult life circumstances that they may experience as a result of their substance use. Works to assure safe, stable home environments for children and ensuring they are receiving appropriate, timely health care. Connects mothers to community resources in order for them to build and maintain healthy, independent family lives and works to prevent future births of alcohol and drug-affected children.
