In partnership with the City of Seattle’s Department of Education and Early Learning (DEEL), SPP helps prepare 3 and 4-year-olds for kindergarten and beyond, while offering tuition assistance, family financial assistance, and health screenings.
Early learning coaches help SPP teachers provide a culturally responsive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for all students, and some classrooms offer dual language instruction.

Additionally the Tacoma Day preschool is combined with Washington State ECEAP. The preschool program is aligned with Washington State K through 12 WA kids using: Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment and ASQ, a parent driven developmental tool.
These tools allow teachers and parents to work together to individualize program for their child.
If a preschool child has an IEP the child can be bused to and from their Tacoma School District partial day program and combine with Tacoma Day Preschool for a full day.
School children are served by Tacoma Public Schools District 10. are transported to Bryant, Grant, Edna Travis and Impact schools
Tacoma Day actively participates in Early Achievers, the quality rating system of Washington State. Breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided at no additional cost and meet CACFP standards.

The Champions program serves the community by providing safe, healthy, after-school activities in the Liberty Park neighborhood. This program is offered at no financial cost to families, and all kids aged 5-12 are welcome to participate without discrimination. Kids play games, work on homework, or work on personal goals. All program activities are optional.
Food and clothing available. The Resource Bank is open M-F, from 10am-1pm, and Thursday evening from 7-8pm, or contact the office for an appointment.
