The Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) is a free preschool program for eligible children 3-5 years old. ECEAP focuses on the well-being of the whole child by providing nutrition, health, education, and family support services. The goal of ECEAP is to help all children enter kindergarten ready to succeed.

Offers Early Head Start, Head Start, Early ECEAP, ECEAP, and Early Head Start Home Base for pregnant mothers and newborns; as well as summer school age program and private childcare.

Operates more than 30 Head Start/ECEAP/Early Head Start centers in Spokane County. Provides support for families, encourages parent involvement and coordinates child health care and nutrition. Head Start/ECEAP: Offers full- and partial-day preschool programs for children ages 3-pre-kindergarten. Early Head Start: Child development program provided at the center and in-home for families during pregnancy and those with infants and toddlers up to age 3.

Offers several programs that support children and parents during child’s early years and crucial stage of development. Works to make sure children's needs are met through education and nutrition. Carroll Children's Center: provides full time early education for children ages 1 month through 5 years of age. Offers a structured learning environment with bilingual staff and help from volunteers. Does not provide childcare after 6:30pm or on the weekends. Growing Hope Child & Family Development Center: expands services to low-income, high-risk children and infants through age 5, and their families. Includes 8 infant through preschool classrooms, including Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP), ECLIPSE therapeutic classrooms, and early learning classrooms. Child Care Nutrition Program: seeks to assure all children in licensed child care homes receive adequate and nutritional balanced USDA eligible meals. Provides reimbursement for nutritious snacks and meals served in family day care homes for children 1 month through 12 years of age.

Child Find: Serves as a location or contact point for families in the University Place School District. Offers screenings throughout the school year to help identify children birth to 5 years old who may need special services in order to experience success in school. Special services can include occupational, physical and/or speech therapies, or a specialized early childhood program. Screenings will not show conclusively that a child has special needs, but it will indicate if he or she may need further assessment. Early Childhood Education Assistance Program - ECEAP Program is administered to University Place families through Pierce County Human Services Offers free preschool to low-income families with four year old children. Provides early learning opportunities for children ages birth to 5. Prioritizes low-income students and students with developmental delays. Early Head Start: A qualified home visitor will visit home once a week for 90 minutes to share fun activities designed to advance child’s development. Locally Designed Option: Offers a hybrid-- in-class and home visiting for 2 year-olds. Head Start/ECEAP Offers center-based preschool programs with locations throughout Kitsap and Mason Counties. Students may attend full-time/part year or part-time/part-year depending on need and availability. Breakfast or lunch is provided depending upon the time of class.

Provides a pre-school classroom experience for 4 year old children and prepares them for Kindergarten. Provides a variety of services to children and their families, including early childhood education, health and social service referrals, health screenings, nutrition education, and monthly parent involvement events, including parent policy committee meetings, parent craft nights, father/child nights, cooking classes, and parent training.

Child-centered, individualized curriculum focused on children's natural love of exploration and creativity. Free comprehensive preschool program for low income families or children with special needs and Community Childcare.

Offers an early learning preschool program and an academically enriched school age program. Open year round serving ages 14 months up to age 13 years. Additionally the Tacoma Day preschool is combined with Washington State ECEAP. The preschool program is aligned with Washington State K through 12 WA kids using: Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment and ASQ, a parent driven developmental tool. These tools allow teachers and parents to work together to individualize program for their child. If a preschool child has an IEP the child can be bused to and from their Tacoma School District partial day program and combine with Tacoma Day Preschool for a full day. School children are served by Tacoma Public Schools District 10. are transported to Bryant, Grant, Edna Travis and Impact schools Tacoma Day actively participates in Early Achievers, the quality rating system of Washington State. Breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided at no additional cost and meet CACFP standards. Tacoma Day, a non-profit, has been in business since 1911.

Early Head Start services promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of infants and toddlers by providing educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families, including developmental screenings. Services for parents include home visits, parenting classes, parent support and networking. Full day/full year center-based or home-based models are available.

Offers free preschool to low-income families with three to four year old children. Provides children with social, health, nutrition, and education services. Locations in Bonney Lake, Buckley, Eatonville, Orting, South Hill, Sumner and University Place. Spanish speaking programs in South Hill.

The Early Childhood Services at OlyCAP are focused on addressing the needs of families with children age five and younger.  Preschool, early childhood development, child care and family support services are offered at sites throughout Clallam and Jefferson counties.  Children enrolled receive a developmental screening, an individualized learning plan, at least two meals each day and an active learning experience on days they attend the center.  In addition to children services, each family enrolled receives support in accessing medical and dental care for their child, parenting education, home visits and help with finding needed services or resources in the community. Head Start/Early Head Start Head Start and Early Head Start programs promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families.  The program strives to engage parents in their children’s leaning and help them in making progress toward their educational, literacy and employment goals.  Additionally, the Early Head Start program promotes healthy prenatal outcomes, promotes healthy family functioning, and strengthens the development of infants and toddlers.
