Provides a variety of parent education classes from the "8-week Circle of Security" to a 24-week Nurturing Program.

Program that helps parents promote healthy development in children, and to deal with a wide variety of common social, emotional and behavioral issues and developmental concerns. This course is a prevention program and does NOT satisfy court ordered requirements. Programs available in English and Spanish. Course helps: - Strengthen family relationships - Encourage positive behaviors - Teach a child new skills and behaviors - Gain confidence handling disruptive or challenging behaviors - Taking care of yourself as a parent. Offers a Triple P Group where parents in similar situations can meet. Parents who can support each other and share their stories. Each group is 8 weeks,1-2 hours per week. Triple P Group is free and open to families with children ages 0-17.

Offers families on-going support and encouragement in the most difficult times and addresses essential needs to develops supportive, nurturing relationships to walk the journey with young families in need. Provides the following services: Young Mom's Support Groups; Family Companion, which is an opportunity for a pregnant or parenting family to be matched with a trained family companion volunteer who gives the family ongoing support and encouragement; facilitated play groups available to children from birth to age 5, and their caregivers.

Free clothing and small household items for low income Spokane Valley families.  

Provides two parenting education programs (Mother2Mother and the Incredible Years) to help parents better their parenting skills. Mother2Mother: Offers a 10-week parenting education program for mothers of children birth to 3 years who have histories of childhood trauma. The program addresses topic such as social connection, resiliency, coping with stress, forming mother-child bonds, disciplining children, and other parenting topics relevant to mothers who have experienced trauma. The program is offered for free and childcare is provided. The Incredible Years: Offers weekly group meetings for parents where they learn about building strong relationships with their children using play and praise, as well as effective discipline strategies.  Free childcare is provided during the parenting education program.

Provides connections to after school programs, camps, outreach and engagement, teen prevention programs, teen mentoring, a community gymnasium, and public events.

Connects people with community resources to help meet basic needs such as food and housing; including requests for emergency shelter, rental assistance, referrals for affordable housing and problem solving help with landlord/tenant issues.

Offers children and family counseling, treatment for child victims of sexual abuse, and coordination of family support services, including parent education, parenting classes, and family advocate services. Also offers emergency food and WIC to promote the self-sufficiency and well-being of local families.

Telephone and in-office assistance with information and referral for services in the Stanwood and Camano Island area.  

A community hub where individuals and parents with children can attend programs and workshops, access community resources, connect with others, and receive information and referrals. Services vary by location but may include use of the phone, use of the fax, access to applications for subsidized apartments, and use of the computer work stations. Clients are not able to use the resource center as a mailing address.

Provides families with immediate help such as food, diapers, and clothing, as well as connections to other resources such as healthcare, baby necessities, transportation, and parenting supports. Service Provides: - Food for the whole family - Diapers, wipes, and other baby necessities - Kids clothing, blankets, toys, and books - Connection to local and/or virtual support groups to help build community and - Connections to resources - such as healthcare, low cost internet, car seats, child care, after-school programs, and more. Amara's food pantry is generously provided by Eloise's Cooking Pot, made possible by the Making a Difference Foundation, and Puyallup Food Bank.

Offers classes and leisure activities that focus on family needs and interests such as:   -  Parenting classes -  Support groups -  Kaleidoscope Play & Learn groups (also available at Bothell United Methodist Church)   Parents must stay with children for the entire duration of the Play & Learn groups.

Provides a wide range of community health services in selected sites throughout Washington, which include: Maternity Support, Infant Case Management, Maternal Child Health, Maternal Child Health, & Maternity Case Management.   Maternity Support Services: Enables healthcare providers to educate and support women and their family during pregnancy and after delivery.   Services include; - Community Health Nurse - Behavioral Health Specialist - Case Manager - Registered Dietician Provides personalized home and office visits focusing on your needs and concerns at certain stages of your pregnancy and after delivery. For example women may receive education on Labor and Delivery, counseling services to help cope with the life changing circumstances that come with a new pregnancy, breastfeeding, and nutrition education. *  Services are offered in: Grandview, Prosser, Spokane, Toppenish, Walla Walla, Wapato, and Yakima.   Infant Case Management: Enables healthcare providers to educate and support women and their family after the baby delivery. Services are provided by a member of the agency's interdisciplinary team. The goal is to improve the parent(s) self-sufficiency in gaining access to needed medical, social, educational, and other services. *  Services are offered in: Grandview, Prosser, Spokane, Toppenish, Walla Walla, Wapato, and Yakima.   Maternal Child Health: Enables healthcare providers to address healthcare needs and concerns regarding the child. Provides family navigation services for Walla Walla County families with children ages 0-18. Helps families access urgent needs, such as counseling, legal services, and other necessities. Also offers a long-term track to support families to develop and achieve individualized goals.

Provides support and resource connection related to Drug and Alcohol Abuse for school aged children and youth. Focuses on prevention, working together to bring community resources and partnerships together to ensure youth have opportunities, support and every chance to succeed. FPYF’s prevention efforts span many risky behaviors including both substance abuse and youth violence. FPYF strives to make connections in the community that facilitate increased prevention, interventions and family support as well as local community connections and local resources.

Supports the well-being of families by providing a culturally-tailored early-childhood home visiting program for urban Native American and Alaskan Native children and caregivers in King County.   Provides classes to help teach parents about child development and building a supportive parenting community.

Life Skills education programs teach concepts and principles relevant to a healthy lifestyle. Provides case management, support, and access to social services, increases parental involvement in their children's education and improves the academic achievement of at-risk students. Activities to accomplish the program goals vary from school to school, including parent education, family focused interventions, crisis support and referral to appropriate social service agencies. Family support workers assist low-income families with referrals to medical and dental services.   Program available on-site at many elementary schools in Seattle Public Schools.   However, since not all schools have an on-site worker, Family Support Workers serve the remaining schools on an as needed basis.

Clients may receive an emergency food bag, toiletries/hygiene items, diapers, baby wipes, coats, flashlights, shoes, or other items as available.
