Provides a variety of parent education classes from the "8-week Circle of Security" to a 24-week Nurturing Program.

This program is dedicated to guiding families in finding community resources and facilitating connections with essential services via a team of Family Resource Navigators (FRN). These services may include navigating state benefits, local financial resources, employment and financial education, one-time financial assistance, rental assistance, basic needs items, and more.

Offers children and family counseling, treatment for child victims of sexual abuse, and coordination of family support services, including parent education, parenting classes, and family advocate services. Also offers emergency food and WIC to promote the self-sufficiency and well-being of local families.

Supplements center based services: this program - informs, - educates, - supports and assists Service members (Active, Guard and Reserve), and their Families who are geographically or socially isolated from a military installation.

Coordinates activities that focus on strengthening family connections to each other and their communities.

Provides families with immediate help such as food, diapers, and clothing, as well as connections to other resources such as healthcare, baby necessities, transportation, and parenting supports. Service Provides: - Food for the whole family - Diapers, wipes, and other baby necessities - Kids clothing, blankets, toys, and books - Connection to local and/or virtual support groups to help build community and - Connections to resources - such as healthcare, low cost internet, car seats, child care, after-school programs, and more. Amara's food pantry is generously provided by Eloise's Cooking Pot, made possible by the Making a Difference Foundation, and Puyallup Food Bank.

A community hub where individuals and families can attend programs and workshops, access community resources, connect with others, and receive information and referrals. Services include: fax, copies, printing, free Wifi, public computer access, tele-health kiosk, vaccines, senior services, Head Start, community meals, DSHS and other application support, a health fair on the 3rd Saturday in May 10am-2pm, Trick Or Treat Resource Fair 5-7pm Oct 31st, notary public and more.

Part of a network of family centers funded by the City of Seattle’s Human Services Department, International Family Centers act as a hub from which professional services are mobilized to facilitate the process of families becoming self-sufficient.   Services contribute to building a healthy and vibrant community and may include: -  Informal support networks -  Intergenerational, cross-cultural and community-building activities -  Referral and advocacy assistance -  Child and youth development classes -  New immigrant orientation workshops -  Financial management workshops -  Health workshops - Legal workshops -  Employment training -  Parenting classes - Support groups -  Cultural activities   Service providers include the following and more:   -  The Seattle Public Library -  Seattle University’s Access to Justice Institute -  Seattle Public Schools -  International Community Health Services -  Seattle King County Public Health -  City of Seattle Help for Working Families Program -  Washington State University Extension Program -  Refugee and Immigrant Parent Advocacy Network

Provides Resource Navigation to support individual's and family's immediate and future areas of need as well as setting goals for a more sustainable future. Offers a variety of resources to help connect, provide, or work one-on-one to access items like basic utility support, limited rental assistance (City of Monroe and City of Snohomish only) transportation resources, employment, legal, and more. The ZONE is a resident-led initiative that works with partner organizations to bring programs and resources to Northeast Spokane. Partners are working on helping members with housing, after school and summer programs for children, food security, employment development, and more.

Life Skills education programs teach concepts and principles relevant to a healthy lifestyle. Provides a wide range of community health services in selected sites throughout Washington, which include: Maternity Support, Infant Case Management, Maternal Child Health, Maternal Child Health, & Maternity Case Management.   Maternity Support Services: Enables healthcare providers to educate and support women and their family during pregnancy and after delivery.   Services include; - Community Health Nurse - Behavioral Health Specialist - Case Manager - Registered Dietician Provides personalized home and office visits focusing on your needs and concerns at certain stages of your pregnancy and after delivery. For example women may receive education on Labor and Delivery, counseling services to help cope with the life changing circumstances that come with a new pregnancy, breastfeeding, and nutrition education. *  Services are offered in: Grandview, Prosser, Spokane, Toppenish, Walla Walla, Wapato, and Yakima.   Infant Case Management: Enables healthcare providers to educate and support women and their family after the baby delivery. Services are provided by a member of the agency's interdisciplinary team. The goal is to improve the parent(s) self-sufficiency in gaining access to needed medical, social, educational, and other services. *  Services are offered in: Grandview, Prosser, Spokane, Toppenish, Walla Walla, Wapato, and Yakima.   Maternal Child Health: Enables healthcare providers to address healthcare needs and concerns regarding the child. Offers parenting education, child development activities, support groups, resource fairs, community referrals and connections to basic needs like food, clothing, health care, housing and employment. Provides diapers on a monthly basis to families and distributes food once a week.

Helps Spanish-speakers find needed social, health, or human resources in their community. Also provides individual advocacy and assists filling out documents.

Multi-service family support program offers outpatient mental health services for children and families. Services include case management, brief intervention treatment, less restrictive alternative support and family, group and individual therapy.  Agency provides DBHR-certified service(s).

Classes are free charge and open to anyone who would like to know more about the development of their child and how to best support them as they grow into adulthood. A meal and childcare are provided.  Please see survey for class offerings.

Clients may receive an emergency food bag, toiletries/hygiene items, diapers, baby wipes, coats, flashlights, shoes, or other items as available.

The Port Angeles Resource Center, fondly known as the Orville Campbell House, at First Step offers a safe place to find resources for your family. We have a free clothing and equipment closet, information and referrals, indoor and outdoor children’s play area, free diapers and formula, access to phones, computers, fax and copier, healthy snacks, free children’s books, and a Little Free Food Pantry and Fridge!

Offers assistance with essential needs and develops supportive, nurturing relationships to walk the journey with young families in need. PREPARES Baby Supply Bags: provides basic baby supplies, based on the age of the child and can include diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, books, and toys. Family Companions: provide an opportunity for a pregnant or parenting family to be matched with a trained family companion volunteer who gives the family ongoing support and encouragement. Find comfort and guidance with the support of a family companion who has walked the path of parenthood and empathize with its joys and struggles. Play and Learn Groups: facilitates play groups to support early brain development and kindergarten readiness: play group curriculum is based on the latest research in early childhood brain development and family engagement. Play groups give parents and informal caregivers a free, accessible place to meet other families and get support. Sessions are held weekly in community spaces in the child’s own neighborhood and language. Parents as Teachers (PAT): develops curricula, trains early childhood professionals, and certifies parent educators to work with parents to provide them with parenting support and information on their developing child. Vision: All children will learn, grow and develop to realize their full potential.

Provides a variety of supportive services, including a clothing closet, healthy snacks, family advocacy, mentors, and participation in community activities and events.

A community hub where individuals and parents with children can attend programs and workshops, access community resources, connect with others, and receive information and referrals. Services vary by location but may include use of the phone, use of the fax, access to applications for subsidized apartments, assistance applying for government programs such as TANF and EBT, and use of the computer work stations. Clients are not able to use the resource center as a mailing address. Some financial assistance is available dependent upon funding and eligibility requirements.

Provides families a monthly allotment of diapers, wipes and ointment.
