Provides a variety of parent education classes from the "8-week Circle of Security" to a 24-week Nurturing Program.

The New Parent Support Team (NPST) is a voluntary program for expectant/new Navy parents.  Home visitation is the core service, with a focus on the health needs of infants and toddlers, prenatal and postnatal care, parent education, family/social support, and resources within the community.  Services focus on supporting the parent as well as parent-child interaction and child development.

Services are provided by a member of the agency's interdisciplinary team. The goal is to improve the parent(s) self-sufficiency in gaining access to needed medical, social, educational, and other services. *  Services are offered in: Grandview, Prosser, Spokane, Toppenish, Walla Walla, Wapato, and Yakima.   Maternal Child Health: Enables healthcare providers to address healthcare needs and concerns regarding the child. The program is specifically designed for families facing difficult life circumstances and parents who desire to develop family-building skills. Parenting Class: Parents learn the Positive Behavior Intervention Supports system, used by many school districts. Parents have the opportunity to connect on a deeper level not only with their own families, but with their peers. Kids Groups: Kids learn the life skills necessary to understand, talk about, and cope with what is happening in their lives in healthy, positive ways. Kids meet at the same time as Parenting Class.

Provides families with immediate help such as food, diapers, and clothing, as well as connections to other resources such as healthcare, baby necessities, transportation, and parenting supports. Service Provides: - Food for the whole family - Diapers, wipes, and other baby necessities - Kids clothing, blankets, toys, and books - Connection to local and/or virtual support groups to help build community and - Connections to resources - such as healthcare, low cost internet, car seats, child care, after-school programs, and more. Amara's food pantry is generously provided by Eloise's Cooking Pot, made possible by the Making a Difference Foundation.

Helps families build on their strengths, find support networks, and promote overall well-being, through various programs. Parent Education - Incredible Years Parent Training: helps parents understand how to build a positive relationship with their child. Available at the Wenatchee Family Resource Center or in-home. Currently provided through a contract with DCYF. Families are referred by their social worker. - Project Safe Care: boosts parenting skills, while teaching how to improve the health of the child. Currently provided through a contract with DCYF. Families are referred by their social worker. -Triple P: evidence- based program boosts parenting skills. Currently provided through a contract with DCYF. Families are referred by their social worker. - Triple Point: Local program for LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex) youth, 12 to 18 years old. Provides a safe place where youth can make positive connections, learn about community resources, receive the support they need, receive counseling, as well as participate in regular meetings with other LGBTQ+ youth and group leaders. School Success - Readiness to Learn: works with children so they can be successful in school and in the community. Serves students in the Entiat, Eastmont and Wenatchee school districts. - Truancy Invention Program: gives students a boost to help improve attendance. Serves students in the Wenatchee School District in partnership with Chelan County Juvenile Center.

Life Skills education programs teach concepts and principles relevant to a healthy lifestyle. Provides family navigation services for Walla Walla County families with children ages 0-18. Helps families access urgent needs, such as counseling, legal services, and other necessities. Also offers a long-term track to support families to develop and achieve individualized goals.

Offer a parent-tot program, preschool play therapy, and connect individuals with counseling services.

Provides families a monthly allotment of diapers, wipes and ointment.

Provides limited help with basic needs such as transportation, clothing, and hygiene items if the need is emergent and other resources have been exhausted.  

Clients may receive an emergency food bag, toiletries/hygiene items, diapers, baby wipes, coats, flashlights, shoes, or other items as available.

Provides at-home education and resources for young immigrant/refugee children to support their growth before entering kindergarten. The two-year program focuses on developing essential early literacy skills, including teaching children how to read in English, while empowering parents to become their child’s first teacher. Offers bi-weekly home visits and educational materials to foster a nurturing and supportive learning environment.

Offers assistance with essential needs and develops supportive, nurturing relationships to walk the journey with young families in need. PREPARES Baby Supply Bags: provides basic baby supplies, based on the age of the child and can include diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, books, and toys. Family Companions: provide an opportunity for a pregnant or parenting family to be matched with a trained family companion volunteer who gives the family ongoing support and encouragement. Find comfort and guidance with the support of a family companion who has walked the path of parenthood and empathize with its joys and struggles. Play and Learn Groups: facilitates play groups to support early brain development and kindergarten readiness: play group curriculum is based on the latest research in early childhood brain development and family engagement. Play groups give parents and informal caregivers a free, accessible place to meet other families and get support. Sessions are held weekly in community spaces in the child’s own neighborhood and language. Parents as Teachers (PAT): develops curricula, trains early childhood professionals, and certifies parent educators to work with parents to provide them with parenting support and information on their developing child. Vision: All children will learn, grow and develop to realize their full potential.

Programs that link families to community resources and offers parenting classes and workshops, English and Spanish toddler playgroups, bi-annual infant clothing and toy swap.

Supports the well-being of families by providing a culturally-tailored early-childhood home visiting program for urban Native American and Alaskan Native children and caregivers in King County.   Provides classes to help teach parents about child development and building a supportive parenting community.

Provides Resource Navigation to support individual's and family's immediate and future areas of need as well as setting goals for a more sustainable future. Offers a variety of resources to help connect, provide, or work one-on-one to access items like basic utility support, limited rental assistance (City of Monroe and City of Snohomish only) transportation resources, employment, legal, and more. Spanish Resource Navigator available.

Distributes food and related items to households in need.

Program that helps parents promote healthy development in children, and to deal with a wide variety of common social, emotional and behavioral issues and developmental concerns. This course is a prevention program and does NOT satisfy court ordered requirements. Programs available in English and Spanish. Course helps: - Strengthen family relationships - Encourage positive behaviors - Teach a child new skills and behaviors - Gain confidence handling disruptive or challenging behaviors - Taking care of yourself as a parent. Offers a Triple P Group where parents in similar situations can meet. Parents who can support each other and share their stories. Each group is 8 weeks,1-2 hours per week. Triple P Group is free and open to families with children ages 0-17.

Provides connections to after school programs, camps, outreach and engagement, teen prevention programs, teen mentoring, a community gymnasium, and public events.

Connects people with community resources to help meet basic needs such as food and housing; including requests for emergency shelter, rental assistance, referrals for affordable housing and problem solving help with landlord/tenant issues.

Operates a food pantry with the following items based on availability: - Diapers & Baby Wipes - New/Gently Used Children's Clothing & Shoes - Blankets - Personal Hygiene Items - Small Household Items - Modest Offering of Non-Perishable Food Items Also provides resource referrals for essential services.
