Nurse Family Partnership is a free evidence-based community health program that provides home visits to first time parenting moms and their families throughout pregnancy and until the child is two years of age. Nurses work to support families in several different domains: nurse home visitors teach about the mother’s personal health and environmental health, nurses guide new mothers in developing healthy and successful parenting skills while promoting social, emotional, and physical development, nurses mentor clients in establishing and meeting their school and career goals, nurses support clients in building a healthy support network, and nurses make referrals as needed to community agencies.

Helps pregnant and newly parenting women prepare for delivery and parenthood.
Helps pregnant and newly parenting women prepare for delivery and parenthood with a series of classes. Lessons include topics such as Understanding Pregnancy, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Infant Hygiene, Infant First-Aid and Getting Your Baby to Sleep. At each weekly appointment, clients will meet one-on-one with a trained peer mentor for one hour. With each lesson that is completed, clients will earn “baby bucks” for supplies such as diapers, wipes, clothing and blankets.

Nutritionists are avalable to provide clinic or home-based nutrition assessments, education, and counseling.

Conception Options Support Programs
Coordinates support groups for parents across multiple stages of parenting. Groups offer offer social support to parents by connecting them with other parents with children the same age. Groups last 6-12 weeks and are led by trained facilitators.
Connects and supports families, helping parents build confidence across multiple stages of parenting from before their baby is born to adolescence. Groups are fun and social, with a focus on child development and helping parents cope with the challenges of adjusting to a challenging life phase.
Groups offer social support to parents by connecting them with other parents with children the same age. Groups last 6-12 weeks and are led by trained facilitators. Groups meet for weekly discussions on topics relevant to the child's age and development. More than 300 PEPS Groups are offered each year.

Family Companions: provide an opportunity for a pregnant or parenting family to be matched with a trained family companion volunteer who gives the family ongoing support and encouragement. Find comfort and guidance with the support of a family companion who has walked the path of parenthood and empathize with its joys and struggles.
Play and Learn Groups: facilitates play groups to support early brain development and kindergarten readiness: play group curriculum is based on the latest research in early childhood brain development and family engagement. Play groups give parents and informal caregivers a free, accessible place to meet other families and get support. Sessions are held weekly in community spaces in the child’s own neighborhood and language.
Parents as Teachers (PAT): develops curricula, trains early childhood professionals, and certifies parent educators to work with parents to provide them with parenting support and information on their developing child. Provides clients with incentives to learn life skills as they earn "Baby Bucks" to spend in the "Baby Boutique" on items they need. Once enrolled, a client works with an advocate to choose a curriculum that fits their needs and interests. Clients earn "Baby Bucks" while they learn how to be better parents. There are programs available in financial planning, relationship building and communications tools. Available resources includes: layettes, diapers, wipes, clothing - sizes infant to 2T, car seats, cribs and baby furniture.
