The New Parent Support Team (NPST) is a voluntary program for expectant/new Navy parents.  Home visitation is the core service, with a focus on the health needs of infants and toddlers, prenatal and postnatal care, parent education, family/social support, and resources within the community.  Services focus on supporting the parent as well as parent-child interaction and child development.

Coordinates support groups for parents experiencing perinatal mood disorders (PPMD) and their families.   Warm Line offers free 24 hour telephone support for all parents and their family members. The line is staffed by parents who have experienced a perinatal mood and/or anxiety disorder and have recovered fully or licensed therapists with specialized training in perinatal mental health. Also offers a Dad's line, and help in English and Spanish. Offers Parent Resilience Specialists for short or long-term support in King or Pierce County. Provides referrals to health care professionals specializing in the treatment of PPMDs. Offers telehealth with therapists specializing in the treatment of PMADs. Maintains an online directory of other programs providing therapy, consultation, assessment and supportive services. Affiliated with Postpartum Support International.

Provides a nutrition program and food assistance for pregnant and postpartum women and infants and children under age 5.   Offers: -  Nutrition and health assessments and education -  Breastfeeding counseling -  Vouchers for specific nutritious foods -  Health screenings and referrals -  Referrals to other health and social programs Monthly benefits are valued at approximately $150 for a family of two per month for nutritious foods. Families can also use their WIC QR code to spend summer Farmers Market benefits and monthly Fruit and Vegetable benefits at approved farmers markets and farm stores. Participants can receive $28 of Farmers Market benefits, with a maximum of $84 per family.

Pregnancy and early childhood home visiting with Nurse-Family Partnership offering a free, personal nurse for first time, low income mothers. New mothers receive support, education and valuable resources to be the best parent they can be.

Provides various support groups and services in Yakima County. - Women Supporting Women: Provides a support group for all women who are living with cancer, whether newly diagnosed, currently in treatment, or completed cancer surgery and treatment. - Young Women's CANcer Support: Provides group support in the evening for women juggling a cancer diagnosis, treatment, family, work and other demands placed on this unique group of survivors. - Bereavement Support Group: Weekly support group open to anyone who has suffered a loss for any reason.  The members try to collectively help each other through the various stages of grieving and grow through the loss. - Cancer Peer Mentors (Women): Cancer survivors provide support and hope to newly diagnosed women.  Peer Mentors have completed a comprehensive educational program and are available for communication and support. - Crisis Care and Counseling: Offers assistance through staff and volunteers for crisis needs. Helps individuals who are going through a crisis situation by listening, assessing their needs, connecting them to other resources, and providing follow-up support. - Empowerment through Pain - Tools, support & guidance in understanding and living well with chronic pain. - Finding Joy: Classes focus on a variety of philosophies and techniques of self-help to encourage the practice of looking for Joy in everyday life. - Group Grief & Loss Support for Miscarriage or Stillbirth (RTS): Little Wings provides grief and loss support for parents who have lost a child due to miscarriage or stillbirth. - Women's Empowerment Group: Provides a free support group for women experiencing depression, anxiety or just feel stuck in their life. - Trauma Support Group - The group is designed to provide support, encouragement and healing to those who have experienced traumatic events. - Lymphatic Flow Chair Exercise Classes - Cancer Survivor Nutrition - Osteopathic Manipulation: In Partnership with PNWU Scholars Program and Supervised by O.D.s, - Hands That Heal: Reflexology and other techniques to support your mind, body and spirit. - Healing Threads: Group for anyone who wants to spend time with others while working on any needlework project; no experience necessary. The group promotes healing, community service, and connecting with others to end feelings of isolation. - Navigation Services: Provides navigation services to local resources for families and individuals needing assistance—open to anyone. Offers information and referrals to local agencies. - Lending Library: Offers books, videos, audio, and periodicals to anyone seeking information on a particular illness or health topic. - Caregiver Support - Men's Cancer Support Group/Co-Ed Cancer Support Groups will return as demand increases. Maternal Health Services provides community-based programs and services focused on providing preventive health and education for growing families throughout Central Washington. With a staff dedicated to giving families a healthy, hopeful start in life, Maternal Health Services offers programs in genetic counseling, maternity support services, maternal child health home visiting and coordination of regional perinatal improvement programs. Services available: - Central Washington Genetics Program: Offers genetic counseling, specialized genetic testing and diagnostic services. - Maternal Child Health Program: Provides office and home visits by a community health nurse or a licensed counselor. Nurse led postpartum group incorporating mindfulness and movement in Kitsap County. Includes walking activities for new families to get outside in nature, explore mindfulness, meet other new parents, and get their questions answered by a nurse and bilingual Spanish speaking community health worker.
