Child Find: Serves as a location or contact point for families in the Dieringer School District. Offers screenings throughout the school year to help identify children aged 34 months to 5 years old who may need special services in order to experience success in school. Special services can include occupational, physical and/or speech therapies, or a specialized early childhood program. Screenings will not show conclusively that a child has special needs, but it will indicate if he or she may need further assessment. Offers a high quality, developmentally appropriate early education at four dynamic, inclusive schools with full day and extended day options. Multilingual teachers reinforce the languages kids speak at home as well as help them master English. Curriculum includes literacy, math, and social-emotional skills. Arranges dental and physical screenings for all students and families participate in monthly nutrition activities. Each child has an individualized plan developed jointly with the parent that identifies outcomes in social-emotional development, literacy, language development, mathematics, physical health, science, creative arts, and approaches to learning.

Helps children get ready for school by supporting their social and learning development. Offers educational, health, nutrition, and social services for children and families, including developmental screenings. Parents are encouraged to be involved through parenting classes, support, and networking. Part-day and full-day options are available and welcome children with special needs or disabilities.

Provides comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition and parent involvement services to low-income children and their families. Program has a social emotional focus. Depending on location, program is funded through Head Start or ECEAP.

The Camas Education Program provides educational opportunities for Kalispel Tribal members, Native Americans, and the community at large.

Offers home visiting and home visits for the children in the Early Head Start and Rural Home Visiting programs. Program is administered by the Puget Sound Educational Service District. Offers employment and training opportunities and services available for parents whose children are enrolled.

Headstart preschool which serves 48 low-income children; runs May through November. An ECEAP preschool which serves low income children; runs October through May.

Offers Early Head Start, Head Start, Early ECEAP, ECEAP, and Early Head Start Home Base for pregnant mothers and newborns; as well as summer school age program and private childcare.

Early Head Start: A qualified home visitor will visit home once a week for 90 minutes to share fun activities designed to advance child’s development. Provides a regional early learning center for children birth-to-five and their parents as a coordinated and comprehensive community learning hub. Provides various program, from parenting education and support to infant care and early learning. The center's services will address and help overcome the staggering access gap for many Walla Walla youth and families, promoting an inclusive community resource that encourages integration, engagement and opportunity for all.

A federally funded family involvement program for low-income families with young children. Head Start serves 6 weeks old to Pre-K, in both full-day and half-day classrooms. Their Family Service Coordinators and room teachers work with families on goals in development, as well as in assisting with the rest of life that happens for the parents. This program is through Community Colleges of Spokane.

Provides education and childcare services for children. Service options include full and part time care, and full day ECEAP Preschool.
